The State of Texas created the District to address
concerns about public safety and economic development in our area. The
District’s mission is to promote and coordinate economic growth,
cultural activities and public welfare within our
boundaries. A ten-member Board of Directors runs the District.
Commercial property owners, tenants and residents within the District
comprise the Board. Currently, The District has entered into a
strategic business planning process under the leadership of
Beverly
Santicola, as a consultant. The Board is working with Ms.
Santicola to determine our path for the future and the qualifications
that our next Executive Director will need to lead us there.
Commercial property assessments fund all
District services and capital. But unlike other assessments, all money
raised by the District stays in the District. Your money is used only
here. The District is a great way to make sure your money funds projects
important to you – projects that will benefit your business and the
value of your property.
