The Near Northwest Management District is again sponsoring National Night Out for the Near Northwest Houston area on Tuesday, October 4 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm at 5620 W. Tidwell.

Although our local Kroger store has closed, we have secured permission from Kroger to hold the event again in their parking lot.  National Night Out is a family-friendly event with a petting zoo and bounce houses for younger children, and a rock climbing wall and gyroscope for older kids and adults.  We’ll have free hot dogs and non-alcoholic beverages.  Businesses and organizations will have booths with games and activities for the kids and KSBJ will be broadcasting live from the event and providing music.  Harris County Precinct 1 Constables will provide security, and additional law enforcement agencies will participate in the event.

The focus of this event is to build relationships between community members and the law enforcement community, to support anti-crime programs, to promote area businesses, and to get neighbors together within and between neighborhoods.
